What are you listening to today?

Post by Suggsy on Fri 17 Feb 2012 - 19:16

I'm working from home today and have my music up very loud. I've just listened to 2 classic synth pop tracks from the 80s back to back, Living On Video - Trans X and Vicious Pink CCCant you see and I wondered what everyone else was listening to?

Funny you mention this song, I recently spent some time looking up this track and its history. Honestly I did not know much about the group to begin with, but was kind of sucked it to finding out more about the girl in the original version. all partly because it is "now" the last song in Ben Liebrand's Grandmix 1983 directors cut, "originally it was not". Seems she disappeared of the face of the earth after this song was done and the original group / band members somewhat disbanded. There is a couple of videos out there about her and the early days of the group. Pretty girl, seems odd that she did not do something more after this song. Looking back at some of the videos that cover this song ......... L.O.L. things were soooo.. 80's back in those days especially with regard to hair styles and clothing.

Some Wham! & George Michael Stuff recording some vinyl. Thinking about a Wham! Singles discography. Just Thinking I haven't got that much.

A lot of Whitney Houston this week, especially her early material when she first broke out, and some of her special performances when she was at her best.

One of my favourite tracks at the moment is Weezer - If You're Wondering If I Want You To (I Want You Too) and the same track sung with Sara Bareilles. I must play it at least a couple of times a day
